2007/6/12 Sage advice?According to the Houston Chronicle, by way of Fark.com, some ITT Tech grads are suing the school because, contrary to statements allegedly made by recruiters, their ITT Tech credits aren't transferable. The University of Houston won't accept their credits.
I almost fell into a similar situation in Florida. There was a college that did a great job of selling me to sign up, until I asked the last question on my list, "What accreditation does the college hold?"
An angry reply about accreditation being unimportant and why didn't I ask that first if it was so important to me. I went back to the Community College and life went on. :)
Sure, this is a different story - I wasn't told that my credits would be transferable - but, why not make the brief phone call to a state university's admissions office and ask, "Are ITT Tech credits transferable?" I'm sure that the call would have taken no more than 10 minutes. |
